When I turned five, I weighed 100 pounds and I reached the 300 pound mark by the time I turned 18. You can say that I have always been overweight, and my weight had just as much to do with my low self esteem as it did with my genetics. At 20 years old, I already had high blood pressure and elevated cholesterol levels. I was slowly working my way towards a heart attack. After some deep soul searching and several years of therapy, I learned how to control my emotions. I started to eat healthy foods, but my slow metabolism prevented me from losing weight.
In my quest for a healthy future, I met with a weight loss doctor and I decided to undergo lap band surgery. I have spent many years on my weight loss journey, and I want to help you gain back your health as well.
